SecuVault has been designed and developed to store digital data and especially large data volumes in an efficient, simple, and reliable way and to archive them for long periods of time. Low procurement costs and in particular low operating costs were taken into account developing the conceptual design. Above all, the concept focuses on cost efficiency throughout the entire period of use which plays – besides high dependability – a significant role for data storage and long-term video retention. The simple and standardized integration into video surveillance, IT, and data applications was another key aspect. SecuVault thus especially scores providing dependable storage and long-term retention of data involving access on demand instead of being available on a permanent basis.
